MACN Organization Background
This non-profit organization was originally established in 2020 for the youth within the black community of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Hosting annual soccer tournaments as well as other summer activities for the children, creates an interactive outlet for them to connect with others in the community. Moving to this area posed quite the culture shock for many underserved youth as they began to feel pressure by their peers to stray from their studies and athletic goals as well. This is where the “Free to Play” Soccer Program truly shines.
MACN Mission
Children of all ages are welcome to join this remarkable program specifically built to give underprivileged youth the chance to showcase their talents as well as enhance their current physical and mental abilities. MACN wants children of all skill levels to understand they are valuable assets to the community. They deserve a safe space to grow and thrive with other children who have incredible potential just like them.
MACN Vision
“Free to Play” is just the start of a premier program designed to unify the black community within Winnipeg through the discipline and teamwork required to play a successful game of soccer. Diverse communities are able to jointly speak the language of football to foster the deep impact that results in long-lasting changes within this beautiful area.
